About Me

Welcome to Destination Wonder.  I am Jaclyn. Throughout the 35 years of my life,  I have always felt like there was something more in life and traveling always seemed to confirm that feeling for me.  As I traveled to different destinations, my path led me to Colorado where I live now. I have only been here a little over four months and I already feel like I have been planted in rich soil, destined to grow like a wildflower on the the beautiful mountain sides where I now call home.  I have traveled a very difficult and devastating journey at times but God has led me to a new place, a promised land if you will, that I have so desperately wanted and needed. God has begun to restore deep places in my heart through the beauty and awe of the splendor around me and I am so grateful to be where I am.  Sometimes still a little unsure of myself and my future, but with the constant reassurance that He is near me...in the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, in the soft whispers of the wind through the aspen leaves, in the silence of the mountain peaks where survival is a constant challenge. It is all a language of love that the Lord has been communicating to me since I have been here.  The journey I am on is not over but He is leading me to a Destination of Wonder.  As the seasons change around me, I too am changing into a woman who's heart is beating again.  The beauty around me is nurturing the lifeless places and allowing me to feel again.  To feel His love, His compassion, His heart for me... to be known again as His beloved.  I pray that you too are on a journey to a destination of wonder. As they say, the journey is the destination.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

-Psalm 19:1

Destination Wonder
"Life is a journey...
a passage from place to place,
from memory to memory
from thought to thought.
A series of corners and curves,
in light and dark.
Time is in constant motion
and we are caught up in the Father's hands
bringing us closer to this destination...
the destination of wonder."
-Jaclyn Parsons
